Debbie Hawk, RN
Director
Debbie has been Director of the Early Childhood Academy for the past several years.  She came to the
program with three years of early childhood experience as a teacher of 3 year olds. She has introduced
and implemented the '
Character Counts' curriculum to children of all ages. Prior to Debbie's work with
children, she had been a practicing Registered Nurse for 30 years and continues to maintain a current
Texas State License.  She is also CPR/ First Aide certified, a member in good standing with NAEYC and
TLCCA. Debbie has over 120 clock hours in child care administration, and various child related courses.  
She has also completed a 30 hours course in recognizing child abuse.  Debbie is also currently serving on
the Early Childhood Advisory Board at Navarro College.
Debbie and her husband Dennis, are the parents of three children ranging in age from 14 to 34 years old.  
Their youngest daughter is currently enrolled in the eighth grade at
Collins Catholic School.
Brandi Robinson
Assistant Director / 2K Teacher
Brandi has come to us this year with a wealth of experience and knowledge.  She has been the Director of
the Nursery at our local YMCA and has held a position as Nursery attendant at the First United Methodist
Church for several years.  Brandi and her husband Scott reside in Corsicana and are the parents of a 13
year old son that goes to school in Rice and a  beautiful little girl.  Brandi is CPR / First Aide certified and
has taken many child related courses, the most recent being 'Sexual Abuse & Molestation Awareness'.  She
is the calm in a sometimes rowdy 2 year old class.  She is very loving and always has a moment to hold a
little one in her lap.  She is also very imaginative and creative and enjoys leading the children in Arts &
Crafts and songs.

Brittany Mathis
Preschool Teacher
Brittany came to us a little over a year ago with a wealth of energy and enthusiasm that has not diminished.  
She is currently a Jr. enrolled in college for her degree in Elementary Education and she  is just a few
semesters away from being certified. She plans and supervises the teaching of the
Saxon Curriculum.  
Brittany has great ideas to make learning fun. Her fun loving personality is contagious and the children love
her.   She  is CPR / First Aide Certified. She is an alumni of Collins Catholic School.
Celia Johnson
3K Lead Teacher
Celia began with us about a year ago.    Celia has worked for the local YMCA for the past few years as
the Site Director.  She organized and supervised all of their daily activities.  She also was a Nursery
Supervisor and a teacher of 2 year olds at one of our local churches.  Celia plans and presents the

Reach Curriculum
.  She has a calm and organized style of teaching.  Celia is a very loving and patient
teacher, and the children warm up to her quickly.   She is CPR/First Aide Certified.    Celia also has a
beautiful Granddaughter that attends Preschool here.
Laurie has come to us with several years in at the CISD as a Teachers Aide.  She has completed her
studies at A&M Commerce and is awaiting her certification exam.  She is very fun loving and creative.  She
has the capability of making the most routine activities new and exciting.  She will be teaching the children
the 2K curriculum, Music and Bible study along with Ms. Brandi.  Laurie is a Corsicana native with two
children.  Laurie also holds a TDFPS  Directors License.
Michelle has joined our team last year, working solely in the 2K room with Ms. Brandi.  She graduated up to
Pre-K this year.  She has many years experience as a Teacher's Aide in the public school system.  She
has a very  calm and quiet demeanor.  She is both warm and loving to the children, and they love crawling
up in her lap for a story.  Michelle has helped raise her niece, who is a second grader here at Collins
Catholic School.  She is CPR / First Aide Certified and has completed eight hours of a Preservice course.  
She has also completed a course in 'Recognizing Autism'.

Carol Randle
3K Teacher
Carol has come to us this year to top off the wonderful 3K team. Carol has great ideas to make learning fun.   She
is a very creative teacher that enjoys teaching hands on activities.  She has taught children for many years in the
Corsicana School District., not to mention the five children of her own that she raised.  She has an over
abundance of love and patience, the children affectionately call her "MeMe".  
 She is also CPR / First Aide
certified and has completed 18 hours of training in Early Childhood.
